Michael "Mike" Diederich, Esq.

Mike graduated from University of Vermont in 1976. He then received his Law Degree from Northwestern in 1980. Additionally, he holds advanced specializations in Environmental Law and Judge Army General Advocacy. Mike served 29 years with the US Army Reserves, with active duty as a JAG lawyer in Germany, Iraq, and Afghanistan, where he was awarded a Bronze Star Medal. Diederich Law, Mike's private practice, was formed in 2012 and continues to grow.
Mike has extensive experience in both state and federal courts. He has represented individuals and small businesses as a litigator at the trial and appellate levels, and has won substantial cases and settlements (up to $3.75M) in civil rights and employment law.* Notably, Mike has argued many civil and employment cases before the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as influenced the U.S. Supreme Court through environmental advocacy work. In addition to protecting the legal rights of his clients, Mike is passionate about public interest work promoting the stability of American democracy.
